Great music discovery service. Put in an artist name or a tag and it will play you similar music. I prefer this to Pandora Radio because it covers all genres of music.

Supposedly good for professional networking. Maybe if you're in the corporate world. I keep a profile there just for good measure. You never know....

Micro-blogging. Has some good uses - especially during local news events. 50% trivial.

Facebook
You have to have a Facebook account to view full profiles.
Most new users of Facebook are the over 40 crowd, now. Turns out many of the musicians I work with are on there. It's been mildly interesting but has the danger of being a huge time sink.
