In 2016 North Carolina passed HB2 otherwise known as “The Bathroom Bill”. Thankfully, it was later repealed after much uproar and the state losing millions of dollars in revenue. My friends in the (now mostly defunct) band Craicdown wrote this song in protest and made a wonderful video. I played for the soundtrack but do not appear in the video. I’d forgotten about it until recently when I found it while looking for something else. Filmed mostly at the great Durham bar Arcana – wish I’d been there for the video – looks like fun! OK – hope you enjoy. It’s a great song and hasn’t lost any importance. Maybe it’s even more important than ever before.
