I don’t know how I missed this 1995 film the first time around. It’s amazingly beautiful to watch and to listen to. If you love Purcell and if you love viola da gamba playing you’ll get a bit of history and a great storyline with your music fix. A play within a play. See the IMDB for details. Highly recommended.
