The North Carolina Baroque Orchestra celebrates its 15th Anniversary with concerts featuring music by JS Bach, JC Bach, Muffat, Rameau.
The North Carolina Baroque Orchestra celebrates 15 years of Bringing New Life To Old Music in our region with special concerts in memory of Sally Blaker, the mother of NCBO’s artistic director Frances Blaker and executive director and cellist Barbara Blaker Krumdieck.
Sally was instrumental in encouraging and inspiring her daughters to pursue music and follow their dreams which led to the founding of this magnificent orchestra of professional musicians who specialize in historically informed performance of Baroque music on period instruments.
Frances Blaker will lead the orchestra in these 15th Anniversary concerts which include 27 specialist musicians performing music for strings, winds and theorbo by J.S. Bach, J.C. Bach, Muffat, Rameau, Telemann, Geminiani, and Mozart! Ms Blaker’s engaging and informative comments about the music and composers will further enhance your listening experience.
