What is it?
To celebrate the end of our 75th season in 2024, the Choral Society of Durham hosted the Durham Community Sing, a community event for both singers and listeners. This event was so successful that we decided to make it an annual one offering a unique opportunity for members of the Durham community to join together in song.
Who is it for?
Everyone is welcome to sing with us, no matter the age or level of experience. The Choral Society will be joined by other local community, school, and church choirs.
If you would prefer not to sing, you are still welcome to join us just to listen! Children are also welcome to sing along or simply experience the singing.
When & where?
The Durham Community Sing will take place on Saturday, May 31, 2025 at Trinity United Methodist Church in downtown Durham. We will meet in the morning for a workshop and rehearsal, then showcase our music at a free public performance at 1:30 PM.

10 AM – rehearsal/workshop
12:00 PM – lunch break
1:30 PM – performance

Want more details?
This event is free of charge, but registration is required for any individual person or group planning to sing, so that musical scores can be ready for you when you come.
Boxed lunches will be available to order. You are also welcome to bring a packed lunch or get lunch from a local downtown restaurant.
Parking is plentiful and free in a nearby lot, street parking, and two parking garages.
