Many years ago people used to gather on the front porch of the “Ol’ Store” in Oriental to play music. The magic of that porch put a spell on some friends who were “locals” and who loved to create the music heard from the porch. The spell has returned to some current “locals” who came up with the crazy notion to create a music festival to be held throughout the friendly river community of Oriental using the front porches of homes and businesses as stages. And so began the Ol’ Front Porch Music Festival in the fall of 2014. That magic spell hasn’t lifted! It’s gained momentum and each year’s Festival has evolved into a bigger and better event.. Come and be part of this magic spell, the awesome music, the comfort of our porches, and the spirit of our community!
